It’s no secret that I love me a margarita – they are my fave! I honestly don’t meet many margs that I don’t like…well except “skinny” ones. No one has time for that! But my absolute fave has to be the one I make at home! This recipe came from my MIL – the Browns are from southeast TX and they have used this recipe for years. She shared it with me when we first got married and I have always used it. I love love love going to their house and seeing her pitcher out HA! – in fact that is our plans for tonight – chili and margs with the Browns :).
WARNING: This recipe is lovingly referred to as “Brown Baby Margs” because they have been known to inspire growing our families, if you will :). This recipe is super easy and you will love it. I will warn you – they are strong…don’t ever say I didn’t warn you!
Ingredients:
Tequila of your choice (you can use cheap, I don’t think it matters)
Can of frozen limeade
Triple Sec
Water
Ok for one batch you mix in a pitcher: Can of frozen limeade, can (just use your limeade can) of tequila, can of water, and one third of the can of triple sec. Mix well and serve over ice! Easy! I usually make 2-3 batches at a time – they go fast! I am not a fan of salt with my marg so I skip that. It is also yummy to add a few slices of limes to your glass :). You can also use the mix as your liquid for frozen margs – they probably won’t be as strong that way.
Please please please let me know if you make these – I love it when my friends try them for the first time 🙂
